Shanice Kamminga is a director and screenwriter who aims to give all her projects a touch of magic. Originally focused on acting, she later switched to screenwriting and then happened upon directing, which turned out to be the love of her life. Shanice loves stylized, colorful projects and is a big fan of fashion, sci-fi and history. She has written and directed both national and international campaigns, for clients like Booking.com, Roompot, and Albert Heijn.
Shanice was one of the five winners of the Netflix New Voices Script Contest in 2021 as well as a semi-finalist in The Academy’s Nicholl Fellowship. She also wrote, produced and directed a short film called “Other” starring Anna Drijver that was nominated for a Méliès d’Argent at the Imagine Film Festival.
Due to her background in screenwriting and acting Shanice really enjoys working with dialogue and actors, and has a special knack for working with kids.
