Michaela Mabinty DePrince a renowned ballerina known for her performances world wide. At the age of 17, she became the youngest ballerina to join the Dance Theatre of Harlem. In 2013, she joined the Dutch National Ballet. She co-authored the book “Taking Flight: From War Orphan to Star Ballerina,” with her adoptive mother. In 2016, Michaela became an Ambassador for War Child Netherlands. She starred in the live action/animated feature film Coppelia (2021). Michaela was a second soloist with the Boston Ballet and a Nike Athlete.
Michaela Mabinty DePrince passed away September 10th, 2024 at age 29.
