Hendrik Groen is the fictional grumpy resident of an old folks’ home, with a keen eye for his fellow inhabitants. His creator prefers to remain anonymous. The books and series break are breaking all records in sales and views, with the rights being sold all over the world. The series Hendrik Groen (2017 – 2019, NPO) won the award for best TV-Drama in 2018. His book Rust & Vreugd (2021), a witty and cutting novel about a typical Dutch phenomenon, the garden association. This is fictionalized into a serie which will be broadcasted in 2025 by NPO. Other novels; Meneer Putmans ziet het licht (2024) and Groeten uit Benidorm (2023).
