Emma de Thouars is a cookbook author, podcast host, presenter, and culinary writer specialized in Asian cuisine and solo cooking and traveling. She wrote several cookbooks, including Solo (2024), Noedels (2023), Amazing Asia Vega (2021), Amazing Asia (2020). Tofu, the third book in her Amazing Asia series, received the Silver Cookbook ’22. Other books in the series, include  She writes a monthly recipe column for PS Het Parool, co-hosts the podcast Steeds meer Singles (2024) and presents the KRO-NRCV program Temple Food (2023), which is about buddhist food culture in South-Korea. She has Indonesian roots but takes inspiration from the great variety that Asia has to offer in order to create approachable and fun recipes.
